The craft of making soaps, cosmetics, and perfumes can be expensive if you are not careful.
However, there are many things you can do to save money while enjoying this great hobby.
Here are a few ideas:
1. Save money on containers by recycling the ones you have. To recycle glass or plastic jars and bottles, wash them out with hot, soapy water. Or for a quicker method, run them through your dishwasher.
2.
When you finish using the contents of an amber or blue glass round bottle (the type many essential and fragrance oils come in) use it for something else.
Use it to store small quantities of essential oils and fragrance oils, or use it to store fragrance blends or small quantities of cosmetic products.
3. For inexpensive cosmetic containers and equipment, visit your local liquidation outlet or dollar store.
A liquidation outlet is a store that specializes in reselling the products of a company that has gone out of business and has to get rid of all their merchandise at prices below cost.
The liquidation outlet purchases these items and then offers them at greatly reduced prices. Dollar stores sell both liquidated goods and goods produced for the dollar store market.
Both liquidation stores and dollar stores are great sources for cheap containers, baskets, ribbon, pots, mixing equipment, and several other items.
4. Save old mayonnaise jars and other large glass jars to use as containers for bath salts.
Decorate the lids with acrylic paint or fabric.
5. Inexpensive soap molds can be made from many things around your house.
You can use the bottom of cardboard milk cartons, a shoe box (line it with wax paper before using it as a soap mold), empty plastic yogurt containers, muffin pans (if they are aluminum use them for melt and pour soap only), plastic storage containers, and plastic ice trays.
As you can see, there are many ways for soap makers and cosmetic crafters to save money. Just use your imagination and have fun!

How to make Delicious, Natural Mouthwatering Liqueurs
by: Mirko Davidovic
Liqueurs are alcoholic beverages usually 30% of alcohol by volume. They are sweet in nature with a variety of flavours.
Ethanol is an alcohol being used for consumption. It has excellent extracting capabilities from organic compounds such as fruits and herbs, which is what we are after.
The color, flavor and aroma will come from the type of fruit used . To make things interesting and certainly more robust, combination of two or more fruits will produce some interesting liqueurs to say the least. If we incorporate some of your favorite cooking extracts to this equation the possibilities are endless.
All of the liqueurs, whether natural or extract, have several main ingredients; the alcohol, sugar and some type of flavour.
Cherry Liqueur: this is the all time favourite,
so we will use it as the main example.
Take 1 kg (approx. 2 lb.) of whole...

Candida is naturally occurring yeast found in the body and its overgrowth has been found to be a frequent complication or even a causative factor in many of today?s illnesses. Treatment is available and isn?t as complicated as you may think.
Yeast is normally found in the mouth, throat, intestines and genitourinary tract. When friendly bacteria and a properly functioning immune system are not present, balance of the system may be lost and Candida overgrowth may occur.
Someone with an overgrowth of yeast can experience any number of unpleasant symptoms such as a yeast infection, fatigue, rash, depression and anxiety. The symptoms of Candida overgrowth are frequently treated with anti-fungal remedies. Even with these remedies, however, if your diet is not changed to create an environment within the body to prohibit the overgrowth of Candida, relief is sure to be temporary, and problem symptoms will return.

Arg shivered as he finished the last of the boiled weasel skin he brought for his lunch. His daily hunt had taken him to the end of the Tall Deer creek-bed. No luck, so far, no game at all. He turned back down the valley, not looking forward to his evening meal of the rotting wolverine meat in the bottom of the cellar. His wife Erg and the kids would be disappointed to have...

Personal vs. Business
Personal vs. Business
by: Matt Bacak
Many business owners agree that starting a small business will involve the personal finances of the owner, even though the business may be formally regarded as separate entities. This is probably due to the fact that the business owner may be likely to lose his source of income during the initial operations period, especially during the first 3 to 6 months. With this, adequate planning, budgeting and saving should be done...
