The choice for a baby or an infant gift can be a difficult one. One of the best baby or infant gifts that you can give is a gift basket. A gift basket is that one present that comes in many shapes, themes and of course price ranges. A gift basket is lovely gift to for a baby shower.
The diversity of gift baskets is never-ending. For a baby or newborn you can give a diaper gift basket or a baby necessities gift basket. If you?d prefer there is a baby bath time basket or an everlasting baby time capsule basket. In fact the list is endless.
Here is a simple basket that you can easily create yourself:
For the Gift Basket use a Baby Bath or try a Bucket. Then fill it with the following;
A ton of baby product coupons;
A Rubber Duck;
Bottles of lotion and baby oil;
Small toy books for baby;
Teething ring;
A few bottles;
2 pacifiers;
A few sturdy bibs;
A few sleepers;
A receiving blanket;
To add a little extra you could put together for mom:
Lotions;
Bath salts;
Pretty soaps;
Candles;
A few books;
Coupon holder with coupons in it. (Moms love these! ; )
Or try a small basket of:
Baby oil;
Baby bath wash;
A washcloth;
A rubber Duck;
Baby powder;
and baby lotion.
For Mom a picture frame, a disposable camera to record the event, a record book, photo album, along with a voucher for photo finishing.
When you are finished, wrap the Gift Basket with cellophane paper and a nice ribbon to give it a finishing touch. Tie a gift tag with a message for that added touch and include a pair of booties.

The food pyramid was issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in the early 1990s as part of a program to encourage the growth of healthy eating habits from a young age. From the outset schools that were keen to introduce healthy eating habits from junior school level upwards embraced it. We all accepted that USDA had produced a new key to guide us in how to eat healthily and start the battle against obesity from a young age. Time has since taught us that the Food Pyramid was based upon some unsound scientific data and the Department of Nutrition at Harvard School of Public Health has since corrected the base knowledge by using up to date scientific data that has now replaced the original Pyramid. On a personal note I think the original Food Pyramid was great and a definite step in the right direction. This new approach is based upon more accurate scientific data and is therefore better to use.
